Overlooking the serene waters of Northwest Bay, this one-of-a-kind home transcends the boundaries of being at one with nature. Set on a third acre of walk-on waterfront, the log structure was handcrafted by a local ship builder for the original owner. GNB Builders more recently performed an extensive renovation which created the perfect balance of nostalgic charm and contemporary conveniences that distinguish the home today. As you pass through the cathedral entry, the stained glass porthole window captures the light to reveal the warmth of the wood interior. Natural cedar structure, fir framed windows and doors, hickory hardwood floors, and a vastness of custom built-in cabinetry and book cases adorn the walls. The chef of the family will delight in the spacious professional grade kitchen featuring Kitchen Craft cabinets, volga-blue granite counters, and a full complement of stainless steel Jenn-Aire appliances centred by a 36 inch dual fuel range. The bathrooms share in the same fine touches including Kohler fixtures, grey marble, and river rock accented tiled shower & jetted tub in the ensuite. High efficiency natural gas radiant in-floor heat, Navien tankless hot water on demand, and a classic wood stove keeps things cozy. The outside is equally as impressive with two rooftop decks and an aggregate patio from which to enjoy the ocean views, sunsets, and a glass of wine by the fire or in the hot tub. The easily maintained gardens boast mature fir trees, dogwood, lilacs, rhododendrons, roses, and a wisteria covered gazebo, all embraced by stack stone walls and surrounded by cedar hedges and fencing. And when you want to experience the beachfront there is an aerial viewing deck and private staircase leading down to the water for a stroll...to Madrona Point and Pacific Shores Spa perhaps? With a truly inspirational combination of modern living and natural elegance, this move is sure to be the right move. Call Peter today at 250-816-7325 to book your private viewing.

About
Originally from the greater Vancouver area, my family and I have called Vancouver Island and Nanaimo our home since the late 1990’s. While growing up in Coquitlam, I attended Port Moody Senior Secondary School and later went on to graduate from Simon Fraser University. From SFU I received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, which soon after launched in to an extensive management career in retail. Like many agents, real estate is my second career. I started my working life with Sears Canada at the age of 17, and over the span of the following 22 years held several positions of increasing responsibility throughout B.C. Prior to making my career switch to real estate, I dedicated 8 years as a Regional Manager for the Sears Dealer and Catalogue stores within the province. It was through that region wide exposure dealing with a wide network of people, that I gained a sincere appreciation for the value of building and maintaining strong client relationships. I have carried that philosophy along with me in to the real estate industry, and have adopted a set of professional standards and a business plan that fosters the achievement of goals through integrity. One’s home is a large investment, both personally and financially, and my commitment is to help people who are buying or selling make the most of their real estate opportunity. I wish you the best of success, and strive to be of any assistance that I can.
