This large and beautiful, ocean view character home is located directly across from the harbour front promenade and within walking distance to the ferry terminal and the downtown core. This unique property with original plaster walls and coved ceilings, combines timeless charm with modern conveniences and has an in-law suite in the walk out basement as well as a workshop area with plenty of extra storage (could be used as a second in-law suite). Inside, the home radiates warmth and character with its hemlock and oak in-laid hardwood flooring, and spacious rooms. The primary bedroom is generously sized with a closet and 4 pce ensuite that includes a soaker tub and stand-up shower. The main level is cute and cozy and you can relax with a morning coffee while looking out on the boats on the ocean. The upper level offers 2 more bedrooms, a loft area and storage. There are laundry facilities on the main floor and the suite. With some electrical upgrades, the roof replaced in 2014, a 7 year old gas HWT and a new high efficiency gas furnace (2021), you can move in with no immediate expenses necessary. ABOUT ME:
Carol Riera PREC* - REALTOR®, B.ED., M. of Applied Linguistics
Born and raised in Vancouver, Carol has lived in three provinces, travelled extensively and is fluent in both French and English. Carol worked in Education for more than 20 years, teaching every grade from preschool to the college level. She is known for her involvement in community activities, her attention to detail and her customer service skills.
Always looking for new challenges, Carol embarked on a Master's of Linguistics with the University of Nottingham in 2011. When deciding to return to beautiful, BC, Qualicum Beach was an easy choice for Carol and her husband, Bruno Sterckeman, as it was a return to family and a milder climate. In order to make the move, and encouraged by her sister, Carol enrolled in the Sauder School of Business at UBC to study Real Estate Trading Services.
Throughout her varied career, Carol has always enjoyed serving others, organizing many cultural and humanitarian trips as a teacher and is now happy to support the Children's Miracle Network as a REALTOR® at RE/MAX Anchor Realty. Her greatest asset is her outgoing and warm personality which helps her develop long-term relationships with others. Carol allows you to have trust and confidence in experienced representation!
