Welcome to one of the most significant historical homes in the Alberni Valley! Set on a private & immaculate 4+ acre property, this one-of-a-kind Samuel Maclure Arts & Crafts home was commissioned by the original owners, the Hodgsons, in 1914 & has since had only 2 owners. Its integrity has been well maintained with tasteful updates including a gas furnace, added insulation, newer metal roof & exceptional care of the woodwork & workmanship throughout. The back porch looks onto the gardens & sloped greenery abutting Kitsuksis creek & trails, plus the rest of the yard is a mix of open area for outdoor entertainment, treed areas & space for a potential carriage home. The floor plan offers families endless options with 6 bedrooms, a lovely reading room with fireplace, close to 4000 sq ft of living space & the ability to finish basement space. Also zoned for B&B, supportive housing & more. Please see photos - too many amazing details to describe! Genuinely a must-see, to truly appreciate.

About
My family immigrated to Lantzville in the 1880s and I was born in the Old Hospital on Machleary Street in Nanaimo in the 1960s. I grew up in Nanaimo on Departure Bay Road–right across from Rock City School. My father worked at the Biological Station and every landmark brings back memories of a lifetime lived in the same area.
Licensed as a Realtor in 1993, I have been fortunate to be selling real estate and homes in and around the central island area for more than 20 years. Google Earth is amazing, and you feel like you can know a place pretty quickly, but nothing beats having footprints in all the corners. I’ve hiked the local mountains, swam in all the lakes and driven every road. I went to school here, had my first job here, and my dad taught me to drive here. I even remember going through the old A&W (now a Speedy Muffler).
I embrace integrity as the guiding principal to every decision I make. Quite possibly the most important aspect of my relationship with you is our communication. Clear, honest, timely, and accurate communication. As we work together, our relationship will evolve and change, but it’s important that the core value of mutual respect and appreciation for each other’s point of view will always remain.
My mission is simple: to promise a lot and deliver more. How do I do that? By communicating clearly, listening to my clients’ needs, providing remarkable service to clients while keeping in mind my guiding principles, and fairly representing my clients in the attainment of their real estate goals.
To put it simply, I never forget that I am working for you. I hold integrity, strength, honour, family, perseverance, patience, knowledge and balance as key aspects of my life, and apply those values to every part of my work as a real estate agent.
