This gently sloping, 4.5 acre lot is minutes from Cumberland and features mature Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar trees, fruit trees and multiple old structures. Experience rural living while still being close to amenities and the exciting activities in the Village of Cumberland and the City of Courtenay. The farmhouse, though in need of significant restoration and remediation, evokes a time long past. One can imagine a once thriving garden and hyper producing fruit trees filling rows of canned goods in the basement, goats in their enclosure making barefoot kids laugh, dad working on his old Chevelle in the garage while chickens pluck treasures from the driveway. This property has all the wonder, potential and peace that you'd want from an acreage with the rare advantage of being minutes from all things convenient.

About
Darren grew up in the Cowichan Valley and literally knows the Valley like the back of his hand. His local knowledge will impress you. Having moved away from the Valley for University, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, he then pursued different occupations and has worked as a tree-planter, crew boss, provincial heli-attack fire fighter and ski patroller. Darren now truly understands what a special place the Cowichan Valley is. He is extremely proud to show off this area and is excited to see his children growing up here.
