This beautifully crafted timber frame home on 12 treed acres in the Gulf Islands offers the perfect island lifestyle. With gorgeous Douglas fir custom timber works, the home showcases acute attention to detail. Located on the sunny southwest side of DeCourcy Island, the property includes a large workshop, a cleared area for gardening, a pond, and a drilled well. Most of the land remains in its natural state, featuring a stunning forest with a significant stand of Douglas Fir. Situated across from 15 waterfront parcels, the property offers gentle ocean glimpses. Modern off-grid systems ensure home comforts, complemented by Starlink connectivity. The zoning allows for a four-parcel subdivision, presenting a rare investment opportunity. Access to DeCourcy is by private boat. The island boasts an amazing private marina. Don’t miss the chance to subdivide and live your dream on this beautiful Gulf Island! And to mention, there is a regular scheduled floatplane from Vancouver to DeCourcy!

About
Darren grew up in the Cowichan Valley and literally knows the Valley like the back of his hand. His local knowledge will impress you. Having moved away from the Valley for University, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, he then pursued different occupations and has worked as a tree-planter, crew boss, provincial heli-attack fire fighter and ski patroller. Darren now truly understands what a special place the Cowichan Valley is. He is extremely proud to show off this area and is excited to see his children growing up here.
